The Course

The Mary E would Sail Daily From Preston’s Dock (next to the famous Claudio’s Restaurant)in Main Street – Greenport – New York

You could experience the pleasure of sailing aboard this authentic schooner departing from the celebrated seaside village of Greenport. Gliding along under sail on gentle winds through the beautiful waters of Peconic Bay. Passing by seashore mansions of Shelter Island past Ram’s Head and sail east towards Orient. Entering Gardiner’s Bay where the sea expands and meets the sky.

Viewing the famed “Bug Light” – the Long Beach Bar Light House – at close range, seeing Plum and Gardiner’s islands in the distance. Hearing the sound of the wind, breathe in the scent of the sea.

Participate – When the tours were active you could have joined the crew in hoisting sails, coiling ropes, steering or navigating. Or just relaxed on your own private charters and enjoyed the breathtaking views. It’s more than a boat ride, it’s a unique voyage back in time to the days of wind and sail.
